The international, multi-award-winning women's vocal ensemble Luminosa was formed from the founded by six young singers in 2023 out of their shared love of music. Six personalities and six characteristic voices come together to form a homogeneous and radiant ensemble sound. This is characterized by the colourful interplay of the individual voices.

Ensemble Luminosa is a prizewinner of the 14th a cappella competition in Leipzig 2024, received the special prize for the best unamplified piece and was also recognized at the was also honored at the Fanny Mendelssohn Competition 2024.

In April 2024, Luminosa received the ensemble scholarship from the University Mozarteum Salzburg, with the support of which a new concert concept for the female vocal ensemble will be developed.

On January 27, 2024, they were featured on the radio program "Jazz und mehr" on BR-Klassik.

In 2024, the ensemble already performed their new concert program "Dunkelheit and Light" (Darkness and Light) in Munich, Innsbruck and Augsburg and performed in the Wieskirche as part of the "Early music in young hands" format. Further concerts will follow in South Tyrol this summer.

The six singers Cordula, Alexa, Melanie, Laure, Julia and Judith come from Germany, France and Italy and are studying at various European music music universities in German and Italian speaking countries. The ensemble made its public debut in July 2023 at the Alter Peter in Munich.
